Following on from last week we continued to look at class sites.
Our class site is multimodal through a range of curriculum areas and experiences. We have personalised the learning to suit all modes. Our learning slides display the main areas for people to access within 2 links. Something we have been working on is adding recordings and videos to our slides or reading texts for students that prefer that mode over the reading. This helps our students who may find texts challenging as well.
Reflecting on feedback from members of the course they loved the visuals and photographs. In particular photographs in the teacher description. In terms of using the site, students have said it easy to use because the main things they need to access are on the home page. For whanau we have created videos on how to connect to our Dojo which was our main portal for messaging parents during lockdown.
Today, upon reflection and feedback from the members of the course my goal was to make our team site easier to navigate. In response to this one of the students created a video navigating our class site to share with people that visit our site.

Tino pai Sam. It's great to get feedback from colleagues and from students. The Sites, Screenshots and Screencastify lesson on the Cybersmart site might be worth a look as it sounds like something your students would enjoy.

DeleteWe had a go at doing screencastify and they loved it. Thanks for the awesome poetry slam task. The only thing I find with using it is it takes a while to do the task, then to record and then to upload - I am sure they will get quicker the more we post.
Yes with practice they'll get quicker. Especially if they grab the embed code from the tab that opens when they finish their recordings.
DeleteKa pai Sam - it was so great to have you be able to share your expertise with our bubble as they are so new to site building. I love the video you added to your site. Have you tried Mote as a way of adding audio to slides? It's a really great extension to add those audio files quickly and easily. Keep up the great work!

I will give Mote ago, thanks Vicki.
